RSC claims three All-Americans at NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships

FINAL RESULTS

MARION, Ind. – With no All-American finishes on the final day of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, Midway (Ky.) and IU Kokomo (Ind.) remained the only River States teams to score at the three-day event.

Midway finished in a five-way tie for 29th with eight points. All of that scoring came courtesy of pole vaulter Nevaeh Brown, who took second in the event on the opening day Wednesday. Brown's top jump of 3.80 meters was second only to the 3.85 of two-time defending champion Sonya Urbanowicz of British Columbia.

The senior from Louisville was also runner-up at the 2024 Indoor Championships and is a five-time All-American in pole vault.

IUK recorded six points over two field events to come in a three-way tie for 36th.

Emma Byrum earned her first All-American finish in javelin with a fourth-place throw of 43.31 Wednesday.

Freshman teammate Sydney Duncan then took eighth with a 14.04-meter throw in shot put on Thursday. Duncan also took All-American honors in indoor and was the Field Athlete and Newcomer of the Year in the RSC.
