Roemer gets RSC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Emma Roemer from Point Park (Pa.) University is the River States Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Jan. 15. The first award of the year is for all performances in 2023-24. 

A freshman jumper from Hamburg, Germany, Roemer is an NAIA national qualifier in the long jump. She is ranked No. 1 in the RSC in the long and triple jumps.

Roemer placed in the Top 10 in the long jump at two DI meets so far -- YSU and Marshall -- and was runner-up at Indiana Tech. Her NAIA mark was 5.52 meters. In the triple jump, she was seventh at Marshall with a distance of 10.29 meters.
