Koons selected RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Emma Koons from Ohio Christian University is the River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 29-Feb. 4.

The junior guard/forward from North Lawrence, Ohio, had a triple-double to highlight her week. In two games, she averaged 25.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. The Trailblazers won both games in divisional play.

Koons' triple-double was 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists versus Alice Lloyd (Ky.). Earlier in the week, she put up 21 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in a victory over Point Park (Pa.). Koons shot 57 percent overall and 44 percent (7 for 16) from long range on the week.
