FINAL RESULTS

MARION, Ind. – Great balance from rookies and veterans alike earned Shawnee State (Ohio) a pair of All-American finishes on the third and final day of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University Friday.

A third-place finish in shot put by Justin Moore and an eighth-place finish by Aiden Kammler in the 5,000-meter run lifted the Bears into a tie for 37th place with seven points.

Behind the runner-up javelin performance by Jakob Blatnik on Wednesday, Point Park (Pa.) had the top team score out of the River States Conference, tying for 32nd with eight points.

One point behind Shawnee State in a tie for 39th was Rio Grande (Ohio), which got All-American showings by AJ Gruttadauro (5,000-meter racewalk) and Tyler Jenkins (10,000-meter run) during the week.

Elsewhere, Brescia (Ky.) tied for 54th behind the fifth-place decathlon finish of Ricardo Smith, while IU East (Ind.) tied for 69th on Cameron Nocton's seventh-place time in the 5K race walk. The Bearcats and Red Wolves scored four and two points, respectively.

After his ninth-place finish at Indoor Nationals left him one spot shy of making All-American, Moore made a furious charge into third place with his final throw of 17.63 meters Friday. Moore had been outside the top eight going into the final round, with his previous top mark being 16.94.

While Moore, a freshman, earned the first All-American finish of his college career, his senior teammate Kammler continued his annual tradition of reaching the podium.

Kammler placed eighth with a time of 14:38.56 in the 5,000-meter run Friday.

Across the cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track, Kammler is now an eight-time All-American. This includes second-place finishes in the 5,000 at both the 2024 Indoor (14:32.43) and 2023 Outdoor (14:34.12) Championships.
