2024 RSC M+W Outdoor Track & Field Championships: April 25-26 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
FINAL RESULTS: TEAM SCORES MEN'S RESULTS WOMEN'S RESULTS
PITTSBURGH -- The 2024 River States Conference Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place on Thursday-Friday, April 25-26 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Point Park (Pa.) University is hosting the championship this year at the P3R Track & Field Complex at the RMU Island Sports Center.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The championship begins on Thursday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. with the first field events of the meet. The track events begin on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. The championship continues on Friday, April 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the field and 10:00 a.m. on the track.
All field events on both Thursday and Friday are finals. Thursday's schedule has finals for both men and women in the 4x800 relay, the 3,000-meter steeplechase, the 5,000-meter race walk and the 10,000 meters. Prelims on the track Thursday include men's and women's 110- and 100-meter hurdles and the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. The rest of the track events will be on Saturday with everything on day two being a final.
The P3R Track & Field Complex at the RMU Island Sports Center is located at 7600 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225.
ADMISSION & PARKING
Admission for all fans both days is free of charge. Fans must stay off of the competition areas on the track and in the field. Parking is free at the RMU Island Sports Center beside the track & field facility. Team busses may be asked to move off the RMU Island Sports Center property to a different location nearby.
TEAM SCORING
The men's and women's teams with the most points scored will be the RSC outdoor champions. The top eight finishers in each event will score points for their team as follows -- 10 points for 1st place; 8 points for 2nd place; 6 points for 3rd place; 5 points for 4th place; 4 points for 5th place; 3 points for 6th place; 2 points for 7th place; and 1 point for 8th place.
AWARDS
The top three finishers in each event and relay will earn All-River States Conference honors and receive gold, silver and bronze medals after each event. Event winners are conference champions.
At the conclusion of the championship, head coaches will vote for Men's and Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Year, Men's and Women's Newcomers of the Year and Men's and Women's Coaches of the Year. Team awards will be given for men's and women's runners up and champions.
