Harris snags RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Chaze Harris from Shawnee State (Ohio) University is the River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 1-7.

The sophomore guard from Cleveland, Ohio, averaged 28.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals in a pair of wins for the Bears. He made 17 for 35 from the field and 85 percent (23 for 27).

Playing in the last five games, Harris continued his hot start with 28 points, six rebounds rebounds and two assists in a victory at IU Southeast. That included 9 for 16 from the floor and 10 for 12 at the line. Harris then poured in 29 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win at Midway (Ky.).
