Barnes picks up RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Cobie Barnes from St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) College is the River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 19-25. 

The senior forward from Floyds Knob, Ind., claimed the award for the fourth time this season with 25.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game shooting 45 percent. That came in a 2-0 week for the Pomeroys, the RSC West Division champions. 

Barnes totaled 28 points and nine rebounds in a 76-74 win over Brescia (Ky.) sealing the game with a free throw at the end. He then had 22 points, seven rebounds and four steals in an 87-68 victory over Oakland City (Ind.) shooting 9 of 18 from the floor.
